Path of Exile 2 Is Steam Deck Verified: What the Badge Confirms

GGG announces the official classification for Valve’s handheld. It does not guarantee a frame rate for every build or endgame scene.

Path of Exile 2 has received Steam Deck Verified status. Grinding Gear Games confirms assessed access on Valve’s handheld while the action RPG remains in Early Access.

Valve evaluates several areas for Verified: suitable controller input, usable interfaces and text input, appropriate default display and graphics setup, and system support. This is more useful for purchasing and installation than merely saying a Windows application can somehow launch.

The badge does not provide a fixed frame rate. Campaign scenes, enemy density, effects and character combinations can create different loads. “Consistent 60 FPS in endgame” would require its own measurements covering those situations.

In the same announcement, GGG still refers to an Early Access key. The free version with the Duelist is announced there for December 11 in PST. This business-model change has a separate date; Verified means neither immediate free access nor an already released class.

If starting on Deck now, consider both Steam’s classification and current game access. Specific settings still require reproducible measurements with game version, SteamOS version and comparable scenes. We therefore provide no untested FPS guide here.
