Morditas has two separate encounters. The normal variant ends a three-part echo chain. The pinnacle variant, God of Bloodshed, is entered through Demigod’s Ascendance. Confusing prerequisites means checking the wrong progress window or attempting to insert a Woven Echo too early.
This procedure concerns Season 5 and access from patch 1.5.1, which also allows Legacy and offline characters to challenge Pinnacle Morditas. First Blood season-race rules are narrower and are not general access requirements.
From Encounters to the Echo Chain
- Complete Rage of Morditas encounters. The mechanic appears in campaign and Monolith; for endgame planning, refer to Monolith activities and their Nexus display.
- Check Morditas activity progress in the Nexus. Enemies killed during Rage of Morditas unlock the echo chain. One blood crystal alone is not boss access.
- Open the unlocked three-part chain and play its first two encounters before challenging Morditas in the last.
- Watch Anger. It raises the three echoes’ difficulty and rewards. If too difficult, appease Morditas and reduce it rather than repeating the same difficulty unchanged.
Enter Pinnacle Morditas
Defeating Morditas awards Demigod’s Ascendance as a Woven Echo. Inserting it into your Echo Web requires 400 Corruption. Ownership alone is therefore insufficient when Corruption is too low.
According to the developer, pinnacle difficulty does not scale further with Corruption. Higher values do not make it harder under the normal scaling rule. This explains access; it does not establish whether your build has sufficient damage or defence.
| Observation | Check |
|---|---|
| No normal Morditas chain | Rage of Morditas activity progress in the Nexus |
| Demigod’s Ascendance owned but cannot be inserted | 400 Corruption in the relevant Echo Web |
| Legacy or offline access missing | Installed version at least 1.5.1, then activity and prerequisites |
| Chain too difficult | Reduce Anger and review character setup |
| Want to join the season race | Separate First Blood rules, window and online season character |
First Blood required online season characters using Solo Account Found or Solo Character Found. These competition conditions are not a general offline restriction. Later 1.5.1 access and the race answer different questions.
Normal Rage encounter reward selection also differs from boss drops. Bloodrage Charges do not carry into the next encounter; choices or rituals change rewards. Do not plan to save unused charges for pinnacle access.
